This poem is very special to me. (Tolmah1) Colin Gibson and I wrote
it a few years ago.Colin was taken away from us much to soon.
And as a poet who wrote from his heart. He was loved by all.
The poem starts with me saying
"I love the scent of roses in the evening."
Then Colin writes the next line and so on.
LOVE WITHOUT TOUCHING
I love the scent of roses
in the evening.
As the scent lingers in my heart
and brings my soul to life.
Life, my life is worthless,
as I cannot live without you.
Though life is not a thing I can handle
without you and I can never let you go.
Oh my darling, with each breath,
I love you more.
As my hands reach across the world
to hold you close to me.
I want to feel, feel something
...but I cannot touch you.
Though our souls may touch
whenever we may be of need
If it is true love, why am I lonely,
yet my heart is full for love for you.
Lonely is a state of mind, open your heart
and you will find me all over you.
Come to me, with your mind,
make love to me with passion
We must wait as our love needs to be felt by you
so as our experience is true for us both my sweet.
Oh Darling I want you tonight,
in my bed, in my arms.
Our souls are together, our hearts live as one
we are always together in our hearts and souls.
It will be as you wish,
isn't the roses smelling lovely.
The rose we hold, though the rose is not like our love
as the rose will fade and our love will keep growing
and bloom for ever more
Maybe it will be as you say,
our love would bloom for evermore
Yes my love, our love is forever
and unlike the rose it will keep growing
with every day that passes.
