Our Old Country Home Has Changed

Years ago when but a boy, my parents, brother and I lived in a quaint little  house.
It was made of asbestos shingles colored green.
The threat was not there at the time for us though it should have been.
However, today it is newly modern and the shingles are now gone.
They have been done away with and the house in better shape and is entirely new.
Gone are the memories of the place we knew for ten years as our home.
Gone are the Christmases we spent there for our days of living there were over so many years ago.
With time modernization takes place as is true with this one place we had as our home.
It is a time I will fondly remember and cherish for all time.
For it is where many things happened that has been a life changing occurrence.
I haven't thought about the home place in years but today it is different.
I long to see the place again as it was but this will never happen,.
Time has erased the past and has brought about a new place that others today shae.
