The Blessing of Another Birthday

Today my dear sister is a year older.
She has had so many trials along the journey but came away smelling like a rose.
Today she is now seventy-five years of age.
A milestone if I were knew of one and so much the better for us that she is around.
I am happy to have come to know her as my sister and friend.
He, the Lord, in all His wisdom, allowed our paths to cross some years ago.
It has been a gracious time for me in coming to know her.
She is a part of my extended family.
Her name is Patricia N. and what a lady.
I am so happy that our lives have been enriched for the ones who know her.
For her family may they never hurt her feelings or make her sad.
For she requires respect and demands it by the things she has done; in her life.
I am most proud of my sister and know that without her I would not be the man I am today.
She adds to life and is one who has given life to her dear son.
It is special in recognizing her not for the piece but because of the person she is.
Bless you, Sister, for the gracious lady you are.
