That empty place in our hearts - right now LORD - 
Heal it - that empty chair where our friend once sat - LORD -
Fill it - We know LORD that our dearest friend is in  Your 
Loving care - but it doesn't change the fact LORD that we
Miss her being here - amongst us  LORD - Yes - we
Really miss her - being
Here .

I know that You will fill the void that we now feel - dear 
LORD - I know that she is in a better place - with You - I
Know all that - but be with us LORD in this old world - where
We must travel on - until the day You call us to Yourself - and 
Home - Be with us Lord - until You call
Us Home .

The road seems so uphill at times - dear LORD - a 
Road where rocks may cut our feet at times - and yet - I know 
That You have trod the path before our feet dear LORD - You
Know the path we tread - and You are mindful of our every 
Need - How thankful I am now dear LORD - that You are
On this path with me - and You will be until I reach that
River's edge - which leads me safe to You - and loved
Ones who are now within Your care - safe 
Home - with You .

I'm Thankful - Omnipresent LORD - that You are - both 
Here - and 
There .

This poem was written after the loss of a very dear friend , 
who suddenly died from a blood clot to her lungs .  She was 
air-lifted to hospital on Saturday evening , and went to be 
with the LORD on Sunday 9th February 2014.

I know where she is , and for her I am happy , but it
still leaves her family and friends who miss her 
so much .

My thoughts and prayers go out to each one of us 
who loved her dearly .

we'll see you one day May ...
