You’re Still The Keeper Of My Heart

Another sweetheart’s day without you…
Another day to reminisce…
To fanaticize your arms around me…
To dream about your tender kiss.

When memories are all that’s left me…
What am I supposed to do?
I cannot go where you're  residing
Though I so desperately want to.

So yesterdays are my agenda…
Recalling all that used to be…
Good morning smiles and paper hearts...
Your blue eyes filled with love for me.

You made sure this day was special...
I felt so special in your care.
Yes, there was the candy and the flowers…
All the usual fanfare.

Always gifts of gold or silver…
Always more than I expected.
Then there were all the sweet surprises
That I never once suspected.

But, more important than the gifts,
Was the love I KNEW was mine.
 Today, tomorrow, and forever…
You’ll always be my Valentine.
