Winter Blast

snowing photo: Snowing DSC01410.jpg

Have you heard the weather forecast?
Old man winter is spreading a powerful winter blast
Don't worry it won't last
In time, it becomes a thing of the past.

Birds chirp a new tune
Flowers bloom, laugh, and sing soon
Green grass sprouts and wakes from a deep dream
Throw those winter blues down stream.

Overhead brightened blue skies
Gray clouds disappear before your eyes
Warm gentle winds blow
Good-bye to cold, ice, and snow.

Spring welcomes you with its beauty and flair
Clean, fresh, perfumed scented air
Look up high in that old tall oak tree
Tell me what do you see?

All creatures come out to play
Some stayed around, some went away
Insects buzz, crawl, and fly so carefree
Ants, busy and happy as can be.

Old man winter brazenly left his mark
He robbed day of light and turned it dark
Farewell to old man winter, he is in need of rest
Way up high in that old tall oak tree, a bird's nest.
