WONDERING
Are you alone tonight?
Do you ever think of me and wonder if I'm all right?
I remember the mornings you woke me up with a poem,
and the nights we sat and talked on the hill.
Wonderful memories, when I look back.
You kept me interested that is a fact.
What happened to us is really a shame,
and really I think that fear was to blame.
I only wish you would come back, but you choose to flee,
I really hate this banishment you forced on me.
One thing I will never forget, for the rest of my life,
you were a man who loved his women.
You probably don't think I understand the life you led,
But I know the whole story and I feel bad.
For no one should have to suffer as you did.
And I can't say that I blame you for your love of love.
I want God to bless you with all things good,
And should you ever want me I will be yours.
