Another Childhood Memory

I was about eleven years of age at the time.
Dad and Mom had to take a short ride; into town.
So, while they were away I got the idea of making the biscuits for dinner.
Some preparations had to be done and they went well.
But the cooking of the biscuits were a disaster.
For I had set the oven for 450 degrees and had  placed the dough in the oven for about one half an hour.
You know it was a total waste of what I had done and it is now even funny in thinking about what I had wanted to do.
But the way  I was going about it was all wrong; in the beginning.
I should have left the job to my mom who could and did make some great biscuits in her time.
Thankfully, nothing happened to the house as in burning it down or anything like that.
I did learn from my mistakes and never attempted to make a biscuit again.
