    Golden as Gold can Be!

Hey my old friend, how long has it been?

Can you remember, way back when,

you and I were like a pair of identical twins?

We were young and full of timeless glow,

fishing poles, swimming holes and baseball

goals. Those were the days and we thought

they would never end!

But end they did, and we went our separate

ways. The months turned to years and the

years are more than I bear to count.

Young men were we, uniforms we proudly

wore, but war we quickly learn to scorn.

Time passed as time always does and now

we are on our way down that proverbial

Life has been great with only a few bumps

and scrapes; and many things have changed,

but our friendship will always be as golden

as gold can be!
