The Old Country Home Place

Traveling back to the old country home place sometime ago I was made to realize some beautiful things.
One was the old home place had its day of warmth and love we shared.
There were the pies cooling; in the windows, and the children were at play.
Christmas had a place; in our hearts and lives which made us glad to be alive.
The home place was something that love built as we used our hands to form the place we would call home.
Take a look at the dirt path we always took to go to school.
Knowing full well when it rained we would be splashing in the water as we walked.
We thought of the great times we had back then and always had time for God.
We never would forget to say our prayers at nighttime for our hearts were in tune with God.
Never let it be said we thought our lives were easy and didn't have to work to show ourselves  to Him.
For we stood there and we founded the home place that God had led us.
Knowing as He did there was  a distinct purpose in the things we had to endure.
