Anyone knowing me
Knows my love of Children
I miss the days of my kids growing up
Sister in law came to say
"Happy Birthday"
What made the day special
The gift she brought
She was five a little shy
Afterall she doesn't see
Uncle Dandy very often
But I showed her Hue's birthday video
The shyness wore away
They say I have a way with kids
Soon her eyes became droopy
I motioned and she sat on my lap
Not long and we were both sound asleep
in front of the computer
Mom came and took pictures
Next day, and because of Wife's surgery
We hired a cleaning lady
She apolized but had to bring her little girl
Morgan is five we colored Mickey and Daisy
We played guessing games and drew pictures
My highlight she wrote, "I love Daddy!"
Asked me my name and wrote. "I love Dandy!"
I miss the kids and watching them grow
Alisa and Madison Grandpa loves you too!
Not really poetry just from the heart
I was feeling getting old and tired
The days past fast but one day I felt younger
It's going the other way the older I get
The harder it is to stay within the lines
