Poetic-Verses

'' I've Slung My Mobile Phone ''

The stresses of modern life today,
Really do cause me grief,
What is the cause of my affray?
The answer is beyond belief.

I can't go out of my front door,
Without me being harassed,
Life is such a bloody chore,
I'm feeling really brassed.

It's even when I drive my car,
I wish they'd give me peace,
Nowadays I can't get far,
My torment it does increase.

In the shops or going for a walk,
Privacy's a thing of the past,
There's always someone wants to talk,
How long can this pain last.

For these there really is no need,
But they're becoming more diverse,
Human desire you have to feed,
Despite knowing it makes you terse.

Conversation face to face,
Is now a last resort?
Talk that way is out of place,
It's used as a last resort.

Go away and get a life,
You are driving me bloody mad,
I can live without this strife,
It makes me feel so sad.

This is it the day has dawned,
Everyone's going spare,
Management, family and those beyond,
Are crying this isn't fair.

They're panicking now she must be dead,
All contact has now ceased,
The very thought fills them with dread,
We need to call a priest.

As I sit alone beside the lake,
My life is now my own,
No more nuisance calls to take,
