 Grandeur Of Melancholy

My Voice Was Silenced

When you speak
it made me want
to scream, and
to kick and to yell;

leave me. Now.

You realize this is all humans
all the time, but not really.
Mostly we don't say a word.
My voice was silenced.

We collect our sentences
what we are going to say
held my breath for too long maybe.

But most people don't face
forward in front of magazines
and radio chatter, TV personalities
until we listen to someone
else. Maybe a lecture.
And you try it yourself.
It is only words on a teleprompter.

My voice was silenced.
But words of the dialog branches.
And the tree of language

could be anything,
became less speaking
and more listening to....
you scream.
You talk.
You rant.
You rave.

My voice.
