I'm the penny
turned over
on the wrong side.
I'm the discarded sock.

I'm the kink in
the overused mattress.
I'm the key to
I'm the barrier in
the road block?

I'm the gristle
in the soup.
I'm the horse
that always kicks

I'm the cling-on
that you sat on.
I'm the one blamed
who made
you sick.

I'm your every
bad excuse.
When you sum me up
to say
you are broken-down yesterday's news.
You're washed up.
Nothing worth holding onto
in your half-empty

By the description
or by the comparison
I'm on the short end
of the fuse.

I'm the sulfer-less wet
matches you didn't want
or use.

Look out
there's still fire left.
Don't begin to plan out
my early demise or

This bird is
full of Thunder.
Feel the power
in the wings
my wings

And you thought
you knew THIS
Guess you
really didn't
