'' Our Experiences We Need To Share ''

Throughout history the young have always rebelled,
When with their elders they haven't gelled,
This generation gap we have never quelled,
Oh how the young cause us despair.

Gangs and street fights never happened at all,
You helped your foe if they happened to fall,
As stories go that is ten miles tall,
Though you would say that isn't fair.

We didn't fight or get involved in stealing,
For all and sundry we had feeling,
Telling blatant lies was just not appealing,
Ignore the truth if you dare.

A child born out of wedlock is more relevant today?
If it happened back then we'd say, no way,
The fact is you gave the little blighters away,
Those actions to this day scare.

To our elders we always showed the utmost respect,
Everything we did was always correct,
To our rebellious side we did not connect,
Though occasionally you gave them a glare.

We were all angelic when we were young,
No disrespect came out of our tongue,
If we did wrong we would have been hung,
Of wrongdoing we were never aware.

Those razor gangs were a fantasy tale,
We didn't know the meaning of jail,
When running like Hell I would never fail,
I had the speed of a hare.

Tell it like it was straight from the heart,
Not doing so is why we are drifting apart,
Every generation needs a positive start,
Our past we must never impair.

The young are not daft they know the facts,
Every generation commits mutinous acts,
In our fantasy tutorials they can see the cracks,
No wonder we drive each other spare.

The young are our future look after them well,
How they mature we can generally tell,
Respect works both ways that's why they rebel,
By teaching them they'll learn how to care.

The reasons for our attitude we refuse to discuss,
Through the tales of our youth you could drive a bus.
What they learn does come directly from us,
