I know at times I'm grumpy with Mercurial attitude,
I have gone on tirades...
For days afterwards been silent or rude,
Seemingly, never listening to anything you say...
Even reminding you of the bills I have to pay,
We never vacation, neither summer or winter,
I never take you out for lunch or an early dinner ,
Whenever you forget the slightest thing,
I am there to remind,
I am guaranteed to awaken you at two thirty in the morning
Wondering why no fresh baked muffins have been made,
I never thought about it before...
I do nothing to ensure,
That our love doesn't fade...
And in a way, I treat you like a slave master treats a slave,
I,
I,
I,
I,
I,
Once could not see....
The Blessing that you are,
For putting up with me...
So, do not fret because now you can bet...
My heart is open
And with the help of Allah,
I pledge to do better...
And my past misbehavior I truly regret.
