many years ago there was a great escape
through tunnels under ground the soldiers had to scrape
using metal cans and boards took from there bed
to stop the soil from falling in. collapsing overhead
digging through a prison camp to the other side
then run into the woods where the could safely hide
digging there for days in a tunnel they named harry
suitcases and there passports they all had to carry
they escaped in numbers escaping by the score
hundred maybe two maybe even more
they all risk there life trying to break free
now the great escape is a part of history
