When the Darkness Turns to Day

Darkness has settled on the town and the horrors of the night abound.
One hears a scream of pain from a woman.
The skies are so black and pendulous clouds overhang the earth.
The fierceness of the wind is such that it is something else to fear.
But before any harm can come to anyone the sky breaks through with the new day.
The shadows of the night have to flee.
The new day has descended; upon the land.
There is a happiness felt with the people.
It is a time of rejoicing.
The noonday sun permeates the world.
Hours later the sun begins to set.
It is then that the darkness begins again and the fear happens all over again.
For the world is lulled to sleep with the moon and the stars.
But then the hours swiftly pass and the new day begins again.
This is the thing that has gone on for centuries.
But the joy of the Lord is always there to be shared whether it is day or night.
