Poetic-Verses

'' That We Are Being Stripped Bare ''

We bypass a child as his grandfather dies,
The people ignore him as he stands and cries,
The sad thing is this is not a surprise,
For those in need we no longer care.

We watch dictators blowing people apart,
Violence against violence destroys the heart,
How can we fix it where do we start?
Is it ours to repair?

Children starving with no chance of a meal,
The crumbs they get they have to steal,
If we sterilised them all how would they feel,
Would that leave them without a prayer?

As the workers are pitted against each other,
We no longer fight as sister and brother,
It's our Camaraderie the politicians smother,
Face the facts if you dare.

We the ‘' plebs'' do ourselves no favours,
In house disputes the master favours.
Loyalty to each other the worker waivers,
Sympathy from above is so rare.

As the rich get richer off the backs of the poor,
They see abject poverty as the only cure,
Taking even more has a certain allure,
They don't mind that you're in despair.

Propaganda against us is their favourite tool,
They treat us as pupils at primary school,
If you believe things are better then you are a fool,
From their propaganda we need to beware.

Though they ruined us their lives are still sunny,
While we're struggling they're rolling in money,
The irony is the rich find it funny,
