Nears Much Redemption By EDWIN FLORES, www.PoetryPoem.com/poetry2231 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
A holiday some call it so
But what of Him they truly know
Is it a time to fill but baskets?
Or realize of Him to ask it
The week draws near and some forego
The act that played for us His role
Bled for reasons countless I'd say
As Light became of Him the Way
A second chance at life, of breath
Much yours to have not one breathless
Came to our world to serve not one
But all mankind, that's everyone
Make time this day to know true peace
To thank The One, you think of least
If whispered words alone this day
If thanks could come. For much was paid
Come as you are for Love did come
As sacrifice Gods only son
Paid much for you to be redeemed
Not just to waste your life in dreams
This was His cause before your birth
A treasure His of greater worth
That's you He came to love and save
To be set free not live enslaved
This write will fall upon one's eyes
With truth, much hope if read faith ties
A heart this day to serve as he
Another soul in much of need
Know this dear soul who came and sees
There is but one in you believes
He is Jesus, The Word in Flesh
That has in store much more, His best
