Smiling in a golden ray of sunlight splashing over you
Into the wind of summer days, I see you ponder your
Time remaining,
Tears hurry down into a deep well
Moments holding you close, seep
To memory
Please do not leave yet
There are many more dreams to share, one more lighthouse
To see
Remember the camera you held out and said I am there
With you-
Still as the night
Reaching further into darkness-,
Your breath, the last one taken,
Films across me, do you hear me speaking-
I wait for the whisper that is your voice
Still
Darkness blends the light
Leaving, I know, I feel the flush of wings, hear the upward star calling you-
My hand holds yours while you are
Slipping away still
