Another Childhood Memory Is Mine to Share

There was once a turtle we had been given so many years ago.
We had done all the right things for it and felt it was growing.
But all too soon the turtle didn't make it and I wondered why.
The reason, I believe; is that I fed it too much food and caused it to die.
I have been corpulent all my life and thrive on eating.
I felt the same was true with the turtle but found to my dismay it wasn't..
I had never killed a living thing except for bugs and felt lugubrious for having done the turtle the way I did.
Learning from my mistakes we never got another turtle but did get a dog.
Treating the dog so much better he really thrived and did live for many years.
I felt positive about this and felt good about myself.
This is the childhood memory I was able to share and a lesson.
Never  do something wrong and you will not have to cover up anything.
Always tell the truth and you will win every time.
