The Good Ole Days

The good ole days when I was a teenager remain to be the best time for me.
I had no worries though I thought I did.
The love was always there for us to share and to take pride.
Immeasurably the love was always there for my brother and me.
There was a sense of continuity on the part of my mom that was always constant.
I never went for anything as far as needing something I didn't get for my needs were always met.
The joy of the Lord was in our home.
Respect and admonition was the rule of the day for us but was easy to follow.
There were no demands upon us that were ever hard for us to do.
I repeat the love was always there for us while we were growing.
Candor was always at the forefront and no chicanery was ever allowed.
Jesus was spoken of during these years and was the One Who we trusted.
I am so glad my parents reared us to be the citizens we are today.
For there is always love that is freely given to others and is returned.
