When I gaze into the mirror
I'm surprised at what I see…
The reflection I encounter
Doesn't look like the same me.
Raven locks have turned to silver...
A stream of lines lie on my face…
All that mirror does is tell me
That a change has taken place.
Time has never missed a moment...
Persistant in its planned pursuit …
Changing season after season…
Replacing tender years of youth.
Calendars are always turning...
Time's not known for standing still.
Yes, everything keeps changing
But, O. our Jesus never will!
He is the same as yesterday…
And He will always be the same.
He’s the author and the finisher
Of all who call upon His Name.
He’s the sole way to salvation…
Yes, He is the perfect Lamb!
The Messiah and The Healer!
O, He is the Great I Am!!
So, in this life of many changes,
Be assured of this one thing…
If we trust Him with our future,
It matters not what changes bring.
He will see us through each sunrise…
Be there at the end of day…
Because His promise never changes,
His love will never ever look away.
So when we look into the mirror
We can rejoice in things we see
If we can always see His image
Looking back at you and me.

~~AUTHOR’S NOTE~~
It is important for us to understand that God in Christ
is not only the creator and sustainer of our saving faith,
but He is also the sustainer of our daily walk and the
finisher of our spiritual journey. For, if God in Christ,
is not the author of our new life, and if Christ is not the
finisher and perfecter of our faith through the Holy Spirit's
indwelling power, then we are neither born again nor are we
a true follower of Christ. While God never changes, we must
change from day to day…from glory to glory. God loves us…
the only thing that can separate us from God is sin…yet Jesus
loves the sinner…He’s made a way for the sinner to be reconciled
with God….are you ready to be changed by our unchanging God?
Philippians 1:6
"And I am sure of this, that he
who began a good work in you will bring it to completion
at the day of Jesus Christ."
Ephesians 1:13-14).
"In him you also, when you
heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation,
and believed in him, were sealed with the promised
Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until
we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory"
Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Romans 8:38:3
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life,
nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things
present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature,
shall be able to separate us from the love of God,
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
