A Loving Adult Memory

The day was when my mom had taken some Excedrin and wanted to kill herself.
The loving part is when Dad got home and found what Mom had done he immediately got her to the hospital.
The authorities took over from there and had sent Mom to a facility far away from us.
Additional love was when Mom wanted to see me at the facility and I had complied.
I had to sign Mom out of there for the day and we came home for a time.
It was a time I will always remember for the heart was touched with the love we all shared.
I say a childhood memory but the truth of the matter was I was an adult at the time.
We had our own home and was doing well until the day came when she wanted to end it all.
Then the bottom seemed to fall out for we weren't as happy as we had been as a family.
The loving part was for sure on Dad's part for loving his wife so much he had the best care he could give her.
