Wake up you sleeper,
Rise up from the dead;
No more a peeper,
Wide awake instead.
Get up you sleeper,
Get up out of bed;
So be a leaper,
The day, do not dread.
Be very careful,
How you want to live;
Be glad and cheerful,
The Lord will forgive.
Live today by rules,
As wise people do;
Not like other fools,
Who will not tell true.
These are evil days,
If you take a chance;
Get lost in a maze,
No way to advance.
So be not foolish,
Know what the Lord wants;
Not to be mulish,
And no foolish stunts.
And do not get drunk,
Or wild living;
To smell like a skunk,
Is not forgiving.
Think of family,
For they were a gift;
And literally,
Love gives them a lift.
