The Mind Speaks

In Memory of Precious MEGAN HOFFMAN

You kissed your daddy,
Said I love you that day
Then you jumped in the truck
And drove away
Whether you knew
it was your last day
We'll never know
But we'll always remember
Your beautiful glow
Deepest stabbing sobs,
Intense crying so shrill
Realization at that moment
They weren't going to heal
I felt your mom and dad
Yearning so sincere
Like an over sized ice pic
Stabbed over,
and over, in my ear
As I approached the casket
Tears rolled down my face
My husband held me
With his strong embrace
But, my knees went weak
so innocent, so beautiful
I couldn't speak
Only twenty, only a child
And he took your life away
A crazy man gone wild
He backed over you
In a drive way, in Boswell
He had to have known
A cold blooded murderer
Definitely shown
Drove with you under his axle
for a 1 whole mile
Till someone called 911
And he went to trial
A slap on the wrist
that's all he got
Your parents tried so hard
They fought and they fought
I just want you to know
we all love you down here
And we will forever ,tear after tear.
