We are a nation of hypocrites deceiving ourselves
we work the will of God.
We are not saints, but eternal sinners
akin to untamed swine weary of the rod.
Even now we laugh and smirk when despair befalls
those we call friends and neighbors
while we wait upon wealthy clients on bended knee
as we beg our past due favors.
Behold the Lamb, who shed his blood
who gave his life so we might live again.
Hear his loving words with your heart
to save your soul from sin.
We are a world of the lazy, the makers of discord
and we embellish on a thousand lies.
We convince ourselves that all is well with our souls
but how the deceiving mind denies.
Even now we plot our useless wars
believing we are wholly justified
yet deep inside are those tell tale signs
of how much our minds have lied.
Behold the Lamb he died for you
he brought redemption for us all.
Renounce your many sins and hearken
to true freedom's call.
For the Lord God Jehovah I will never be perfect, but I know You love me in spite of the things I do wrong. Thy will be done in all things always.
