An Easter Sunday Drive

Today is now Easter Sunday.
The church bells are peeling their tunes of faith.
God is standing watch over the people; in the small community.
He is preparing them for the new day.
As they plan for the new day there we are driving.
Driving through the quaint little town and hearing the bells peel their tunes.
A blue sky is overhead and the clouds are puffy as they ascend Heavenward.
The children are playing on their front porch.
The adults are getting their last sip of coffee for the morning.
Hurrying off to the church, the families are united; in a common bond.
We continue; on our way to the outskirts of the little town and see the village ahead.
It is a special time of the people there as they have planned for Easter,.
The Easter decorations line the streets on either side.
There is a sweet air of the village that we feel.
Looking down the road from us is another little town; in the country.
This is where we stop for the morning and  become part of the gathering.
Our hearts are moved with what we hear and our minds are set on pleasing the Lord we know.
Soon the evening sun is beginning to set for the day as we travel back to the little town.
It is there we see the people on their front porch talking with their neighbors.
And the church bells are silent and we pass by them.
