The Lord is your Defender,
The Holy One for your sake;
Compassion warm and tender,
From the love that He does make.
He will be bringing us back,
For an army He will send;
In helping us where we lack,
Showing us He is a friend.
The ships they are taking pride,
Will be for our trip home;
While God pays for the ride,
From whence that we stray and roam.
He is God, the Holy One,
Your Creator and your King;
As all you see He has done,
Everything He will bring.
He makes the path through the sea,
A road through currents so strong;
Guiding the ship easily,
So the voyage takes not long.
The chariots and horses,
The army reinforcements;
His Word it reinforces,
Written in the Commandments.
As they lie down together,
They do not get up again;
For the place where they gather,
Where the poisons that had been.
Forget what was in the past,
Do not dwell on long ago;
Time created to go fast,
The same as the rivers flow.
