Remembering An Easter Sunday

Many years ago I was at the age of fifteen.
I believe this was my first Easter season for me being in church.
I was a difficult young man to consider.
For I was into everything and didn't know when to stop.
Anyway the pastor took me under his wing and began to show me the right way.
I learned from him and changed how I was.
Being rambunctious was my lot at a young age.
But the holiday was not marred by what I did.
It was a special time for me to realize that the Lord did rise from the dead.
The days changed for me and I was better behaved; in church.
I heard and sang the song The Old Rugged Cross and couldn't help but cry as I sang.
This was especially true with me; in the choir.
