i walked along a nature trail just the otherday
there i saw a squirrel and he began to play
high up in the trees jumping all around
then down to the floor running on the ground
with his bushy tail shining in the sun
happy and content having so much fun
picking up the nuts with his little feet
nibbling at the shell of his favorite treat.
when he finished playing and it was time to sleep
back to his squirrel hole so cosy and so deep.
