Without Rhyme Or Reason

Dear Diary

Dear Diary,

I've been missing you a while
our empty days have been many
the full ones, few and far between
and life in general
has taken its toll.

My spirit not quite broken
however, badly bent
and still so deeply scarred
by accident or intent

My thoughts remain inside
a sacred place, impenetrable
floating cloudlike
on skies of blue

I embrace my solitude
Relish my silence
And wish, I was somewhere
And wish,I was somehow
Free.
