Email Poem | Today's Poetry

Through the album CHIEF
On a sidewalk there
In the dark of night
She will dance a dance
Under a night sky
With the grace of music
She will fly and fly.

There's a town somewhere
By a rodeo ground
You could see her twirl
Around and 'round
Where the rest do sleep
As it's passed bedtime
She'll go on 'til ten
Living the sublime.

Towards the moon she'll face
Let her hair fall down
She'll move hips and hands
Living country sound
It's what really matters
In the scheme of things
You can call her crazy
Lovin' Country Twang
Must you sleep all snug
In your bed as you should
She was only dancing
As the moon just stood.
