At the Water’s Edge
Watching the water
As it runs over her body
Ripples move like ripples oughta
I don’t tell nobody
Moon shines on the droplets
As she asks me for the towel
My mind rides on comets
Wolf begins to howl
She’s not really here
She left so long ago
I just dream if I dare
Tell her of the beauty
She never got to know
