Mud Kept Slander Fields

There is this double
standard I live with.

Somehow I know
where you went wrong
but don't deliver the goods
to make right, by myself.

I live like a violin
that plays beautifully
but if someone says
sympathy, maybe

I go into a waltz.
Should crusade into
a battlefield with only
a song, or journey
past myself into
a unopened tomb.

But I still try to understand
what this meant, I do it well.

Perhaps it is that mud on me
that makes me well,
and if it tarnished well
slander as well,
make it work
for you.
Do it right,
remember who
you are.
Dirty as hell.
