'' Please Help Me Take My Final Breath ''

I swallowed a fly,
Yet it didn't die,
I could feel it moving inside,
The laws of nature this did defy,
With nutrition it was being supplied.

What I did hate,
I have to state,
Is another then happened along?
Once inside they began to mate,
Soon I could feel a large throng.

What really annoys,
Is the constant noise?
Buzz, buzz, buzzing all day,
Bluebottles I'm sure no one enjoys,
But I think they're here to stay.

Soon I lost weight,
I was in a state,
I was being eaten inside out,
The doctors left me to my fate,
Saying you'll die of that there's no doubt.

When maggots appeared,
It was worse than I feared,
Every orifice was their means of escape,
To my flesh they were now endeared,
My body was in a terrible shape.

Now bones and skin,
Nothing left within,
The bluebottles started to leave,
I had become but an insects bin,
Too late now for a reprieve,

The pain was a curse,
Could it get any worse?
Suddenly I let out a huge scream,
As I opened my eyes in came the nurse,
She said I'm sorry this isn't a dream.

I was dying and how,
Let me go now,
This is truly a heinous death,
I'd be put down if I were a dog or a cow,
