From Jeddah I did ride,
With my companion by my side,
The moon was shining bright ,
As we journeyed into the night,
Our eyes marveled with delight,
As we took in every sight,
We were greeted with salaams and salutations,
Granted entrance as members of Muhammad's Nation,
We had left the comfort of our families and homes in a distant land,
To fulfill our obligation in this valley surrounded by hills and sand,
Our eyes welled up with tears as we did hear,
The Guards say, "hajji you are welcome here...  fadl!”
We entered the Haarem...
Performed the tawaf,
Made the circuit...
Times seven,
Then prayed to our Lord who created the Earth and heavens,
Happy and grateful for the pilgrimage we had made,
Hoping one day we both can rest beneath the shade...
Of swords.
Takbir,
Takbir,
Takbir.
