The Worthless Doll Named Pollyanna

Pollyanna was a doll within a store's window.
Pollyanna had been dropped by the little girl who used to own  her.
The left arm was knocked  off and the right eye was closed.
There was nothing redeeming about the doll.
However, there was a small girl by the name of Frieda who saw  Pollyanna's loveliness.
Clamoring to get inside the store, she went right to Pollyanna and took her from her spot.
The owner of the store tried to sway her to take another doll but couldn't manage to do it.
So as unrelenting as Frieda was she paid the sum of $4.00 to the owner and took Pollyanna.
Something magical happened when she was next seen.
The left arm was back in its place and the right eye was opened and glaring at Frieda.
Joy overwhelmed Frieda as she made her way with Pollyanna to the dinner table.
There she laid Pollyanna next to her chair and looked at her as it seemed that Pollyanna winked.
