The day before Mother's day you did not die unto death
You only left for your mansion promised with heaven's address
You fought a good fight and truly kept the faith
Jesus with open arms said well done good and faithful servant

It was only 3 days of my knowing then you were gone
My head had to accept but my heart felt it was so wrong
So full of life,joy and compassion like Jesus you often done
Your boldness full of kindness would cause no one to run

In fact known as "Mr Martinsville" you seem to know everyone
You met no stranger and there was nothing you couldn't overcome
The Holy spirit gave you power for preaching throughout this small town
Different times you 'd call or text for agreement in prayer we would bow

You'd go into churches,missions,shops,courthouse,restaraunts,united way and more
Anywhere you could share the word you would jump through hoops for an open door
Manytimes people would run out on their porch or sidewalk for prayer galore
Being so well known you were even stopped for prayer in isles of the store

A gift of poetry you had and shared with kids in the neighborhood
They would say write a new one,for indeed your way they understood
The most humble man I have ever known in my lifetime ,was Al too good?
After you recommitted to Jesus at times some may have taken advantage of you

Your rewards for all you did was piling up waiting in heaven surely you knew
To please Jesus and share his word anyway and anywhere is what you lived to do
It is written to give honor where honor is due,baby brother I am so so proud of you
My prayer was answered when you returned to your King,your boldness I now pray for, above anything

Your Facebook page is full of love and broken hearts today
I was shown by others ,for myself Facebook wasn't my sharing way
 Another open door God blessed you with sharing pure agape day after day
And at times you would be able to minister to my heart's loves from your page

Thank-you for that and the comfort so often I may have not said enough
Your joy and love and humble spirit seemed to change a room and consume us
There may be some that want to remember your old man and bad stuff
But baby brother to God be all the glory for your total transformed life

With every bit of strength you could muster up you made my heart soar
When the last words you said to me was replying "I love you" you emplored
That was your last gift imparted to my heart that I will treasure forevermore
I know today you are dancing and singing in heaven on streets of gold

Note: Just seen on Wheel Of Fortune puzzle "Little Boy Blue"
and remembered when you were a baby that's what we called you!

1 Corinthians 1:24-31
24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks,
Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men;
and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men
 after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise;
 and God hath chosen the weak things of the world
to confound the things which are mighty;

28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised,
hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not,
to bring to nought things that are:

29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.

30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom,
and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:10
But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed
 upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all:
 yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

Hebrews 6:10
For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love,
which ye have shewed toward his name,
in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

James 2:14-17
14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith,
and have not works? can faith save him?
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,

16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled;
notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body;
what doth it profit?

17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

Rev.14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write,

Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea,

saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours;

and their works do follow them.
