Do not be a bunch of fools,
Listen to the laws and rules;
What I am about to teach,
Into your heart let it reach.
Obey them that you will live,
Let sin not hold you captive;
Take possession of your life,
Not be overwhelmed with strife.
Add nothing into the laws,
It just causes to make flaws;
Take not away any part,
Engrave as is in the heart.
You are able to obey,
If you do not go astray;
Be careful what you may seek,
Temptation can make you weak.
With your own eyes you have seen,
What the Lord did that had been;
Your God destroyed anyone,
That idol worship was done.
But those loyal to the Lord,
Did remain in one accord;
And are still alive today,
Because you trust and obey.
You must obey them each day,
Remember what they convey;
The statutes and rules I taught,
Are the same what Moses brought.
For they are wise with insight,
That easily sheds the light;
As a great nation abides,
Others ignore and divide.
