The Old Home Place Has Changed

Through the many years of having rented the home we had it is has gone through some changes.
The side of the house today is the entrance way whereas before it was the side of the house only.
There was a window there on this side of the house and now there is not any windows but a door.
Sadness is mine for the place I once knew as  home has changed its look.
The asbestos shingles we had as the outside covering for the house are no longer there.
It is a grim reminder that the Lord has to make changes too; in the world of which we live.
There are fruitful trees and then they are cut down for not producing.
There are many souls that were once active; in God's service now on the sideline today.
Which brings us back to the old home place and having its changes.
The pear tree that was once; in the yard, is possibly not there today.
I don't know but I do know the house or home we  had has changed all the way around.
Sadness is mine when thinking of this beautiful place not being as it was before.
But time must take its toll on the people and things on this planet or else nothing is ever accomplished.
