The World Keeps on TurningPollution wreaks havoc, air almost choking to some, Holes in the ozone, more calamities yet to come, Sea levels are rising, submerging islands in its wake, But the world keeps turning, our existence at stake, Our leaders in denial, sticking their heads in the sand, For its' not on their agenda, they're an arrogant band, Profit before people, foreign lands will pay the cost, But the world keeps turning, regardless what's lost, Multi-nationals exploiting, disregarding my earth, Blind to the destruction, to this planet of our birth, If it's not on their doorstep, it is not their concern, But the world keeps on turning, will they ever learn, Nuclear power is cheap, but we will have power today, Radioactivity will cost our children, for eternity they pay, Will Fukoshima and Chernobyl be the contract we sign?, But the world keeps on turning, despite ignorant mankind, Listen to the learned, those sceptics are so ill informed, They live in denial disbelieving our planet has warmed, Our children inherit our mistakes, an inheritance to rue, But the world keeps on turning, time we think this through.
