'' I't's A Nightmare Mystery Tour ''

All our lives we are being harried,
When you get older you must get married,
The one you love whose heart you carried,
You're told it will reassure.

Pressure from our peers to do the right thing,
Life isn't complete without a ring,
Think of the joys this joining will bring,
Life will forever be pure.

You set up home and life is bliss,
That single life you no longer miss,
At night you both sit and reminisce,
This is what you want for sure.

Then when the children happen along,
That will keep your relationship strong,
Your marriage it will last life long,
The future you will procure.

Through the pressures of life you then drift apart,
Leaving either or both with a broken heart,
Everyone has to make a new start,
Nothing can reassure.

You've got to question who gives this advice,
When some have been married more than twice,
It's you not them who will pay the price,
You'll then find them hard to endure.

Getting Elvis to marry you was a big mistake,
Humanist or Jedi? give me a break,
Marriage is farcical for goodness sake,
It does not make you secure.

You're getting married in front of a total stranger,
Who might as well be the flower arranger?
That alone should warn you of danger,
Common sense it does tend to obscure.

If you love each other there's really no need,
Marriages make money it's a form of greed,
Registrars and solicitors are who it helps to feed,
It changes your entire demure.

Before you get hitched there's a lot to take in,
It's more advantageous to live in sin,
Marriage like an institution you can get trapped within,
