An Unopened Book

My Mother (The Lady)

You lifted me up when ever I'd fall,
With loving arms you held me.
You were there through it all.
You were my strength when mine was gone.
When I wanted to give up, call it quits.
It was you who came and pushed me along.
All the tears over my lifetime that I have cried.
You were the one who with loving hands wiped them.
Told me how great it was that at least I tried.
With all my mistakes my down falls.
You never let me believe that I had failed.
It was you who has been there through it all.
The coach in my corner, the fan in the crowd.
All I really hope for is who I am makes you proud.
