He walked the dark
She did too
So very dark
They both knew
 
So deep in the mire
Own life to take
Saw each other’s fire
Two souls awake
 
He walks now in the light
She does too
Not easy, each day a fight
They both knew
 
He said he believed in Angels
She did too
Live with a little madness on your tables
They both do
