On a December day a couple decades back,
I traveled eastward to meet a new grandchild,
Lovely Lindsay, a girl child of many a knack,
A smart young lady, driven, but never wild.
She's soft of voice and charming of pose,
Athletic on the field while jumping there,
Capable and able from her head to her toes,
Does all that and still has such neat hair!
She is kind to parents, cousins, and friends,
Each person is so glad that Lindsay they know,
Her flying career will soar thru many trends,
And Grannie's happy she met Lindsay decades ago!
For my beautiful granddaughter who just finished
four years at the USAFA with flying and jumping
honors....brave and smart gal!
