An Unopened Book
The Grandfather
There was no one better, then you.
No one encouraged me like you did.
There was no one better to help us through.
Your love was pure, as pure as your smile.
There was no one better then you.
You gave us joy, made us laugh.
Showed us wisdom, that we would need.
Taught us, what you learned from your past.
Showed us even strong men fall on their knees.
Told us all your stories, so they would all last.
There was no one better, then you.
Not a better example could I follow.
You always knew the answer why to do.
Always there to ease a troubled mind.
There is no one better, then you.
When ever I feel lost, afraid, alone in the dark.
When the light of the world has gone dim.
I feel you there, a light, hope from a little spark.
Just bright enough to light our way through.
Still doing your job, no one better then you.
