Of you again... By EDWIN FLORES, www.PoetryPoem.com/poetry2231 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
You gave me life to learn and grow
You fed me well of things untold
Yet in my heart that speaks of you
My soul regrets of one once two
How I missed the air perfumed
Of sandalwood and smile that wooed
A boy in need still in this man
The man who sought love in demand
Lack of you to feed upon
Hard pressed to find what now is gone
Though dreams keep me sometimes at ease
Awake I must short of my need
A taste of you still savored here
Upon my lips much drier fears
That though but brief I knew you well
Wished I had not, fell out I fell
I live chapters I thumb through mind
The best of me tracked through this time
In search of you no longer here
Reality has birthed my fears
In time we came to meet our end
No more soft lips on mine pretend
The less of you, left more of me
Much less inside, my heart set free
Of you again
Vote for this poem
Of you again...
