I write of breath in need this day
The kind inhaled upon birthday
The greater good before I came
Unto a world that bares no shame
Inhale and hold your breath and see
How long it takes before clearly
The Light of day allowed this too
The gift of Life given to you
Most times we take for granted things
The day, our lives near everything
As if control was ours by will
Our own this lie, this bitter pill
We go our way and lost becomes
Of you daughter and you called son
We charge throughout our day and lives
Not giving credit, acknowledge ties
That without one that is the one
We'd fail to be this day, someone
Someone like you and I, salt of the Earth
Creation His of greater worth
So much so, He gave His breath
His last through son who rose from death
Rise Christ did as you will too
As breath is drawn this day by you
Inhaled, exhaled as you do now
To breathe, to live and know why how
Quiero respirar, de Dios
